Sony PSN URL Exploit Hacking for Password Reset Process

Sony, haftalar önce 100 milyon kullanıcısını uyarmış ve PSN ağına bağlı kullanıcıların şifresinin çalınmış olabileceğini itiraf etmişti. Bu olayın şoku atlatılmadan bu kez de PSN ağındaki kullanıcıların çok basit bir yöntemle şifrelerinin ele geçirilebileceği ortaya çıktı.
From Sony :
We temporarily took down the PSN and Qriocity password reset page. Contrary to some reports, there was no hack involved. In the process of resetting of passwords there was a URL exploit that we have subsequently fixed.
Consumers who haven’t reset their passwords for PSN are still encouraged to do so directly on their PS3. Otherwise, they can continue to do so via the website as soon as we bring that site back up.
Sony’e bağlı blog sayfasında yayınlanan son uyarıya göre PSN’e bağlı kullanıcıların doğum tarihi ve e-mail adresini kullanan kullanıcılar, PSN Reset sayfasını kullanarak şifreyi sıfırlayabiliyor ve bu şekilde hesapları ele geçirebiliyor.
Sony, problemin ortaya çıkmasının ardından PSN’e giriş çıkışları bir süre için askıya aldı.
